Deforestation Act, between risks and opportunities

Cooming soon

Overview

The Executive Course on the Deforestation Act is a unique opportunity for managers and companies to understand the impact and development possibilities that derive from this important European legislation.

The Deforestation Act, the key regulation of the Green Deal to manage and mitigate the impacts on deforestation caused by products marketed in Europe, indicates a clear assumption of responsibility by companies active in various sectors for the protection and promotion of biodiversity.

The provisions of the Regulation, which entail an internalisation of environmental costs, will be fully operational from 30 December 2025. The Course is aimed at sustainability professionals and operators in manufacturing sectors involved in the provisions of the Deforestation Act such as:

  • wood, paper, meat and food industry in general.
  • Food sectors that operate with raw materials such as palm oil, soybeans, wood, cocoa, coffee, beef, rubber.

Course Objectives

  • Deepen the Deforestation Act and its role in protecting biodiversity and the objectives of the Green Deal.
  • Develop practical skills for integrating legislation into business strategies.
  • Acquire tools to independently analyze the impact of the regulation on one's business.
  • Effectively communicate European legislation and biodiversity issues to stakeholders.

The course is held at the Università Cattolica in Milan. The day includes 7 hours of training with networking moments, interactive workshop activities and in-depth sessions.
