Executive Course in Finance and Integral Ecology

Overview

The Executive Course in Finance and Integral Ecology. The sustainable management of ecclesiastical and religious movable assets orients and guides religious entities and their administrators in the integration of sustainability criteria and ethical finance in the economic management of movable assets.

 

The program embraces recent developments in sustainable finance, the principles of the Social Doctrine of the Church, the CEI Guidelines for the Responsible Management of Financial Resources and the recent "Mensuram Bonam: Faith-Consistent Measures for Catholic Investors: A Starting Point and a Call to Action."

 

The course is aimed at:

  • Figures with economic-managerial responsibility within ecclesiastical bodies, dioceses, diocesan institutes, parishes, religious congregations, social works, foundations, cooperatives and private schools.
  • Public and private financial operators who provide asset management services or asset management products according to the CEI Guidelines and the Mensuram Bonam document.

A degree is not a mandatory requirement for participation in the Programme.

  • Skills for ESG and faith-based investments, Acquire concrete skills to build and evaluate sustainable portfolios consistent with the CEI Guidelines and ESG criteria.
  • EFPA accreditation. Recognition of 24 hours valid for maintaining the ESG Advisor EIP, EFA and EFP certifications. 

Program

The course is divided into 3 modules of 8 hours that take place on Thursdays (2 hours) and Fridays (6 hours), fortnightly, between 26 March and 24 April 2026.

Module 1

Rethinking Finance in the Light of Integral Ecology: The Vision of the Social Doctrine

The link between the Social Doctrine of the Church, sustainability and economic responsibility.

Module 2

The role of faith-based investors and shareholder activism

Investment policies based on the values of faith and sustainability.

Module 3

Translating values into actions: operational tools for responsible financial management

The application of the Social Doctrine in the management of ecclesiastical patrimony. Focus on monitoring and reporting.

  • € 675 + VAT for registrations of young people under 35 from ecclesiastical and religious bodies.
  • € 855 + VAT for those who, at the time of registration, are enrolled in the premium services of the UCSC Alumni community or ALTIS Alumni registered in the LinkedIn group.
  • For employees and children of employees of ALTIS strategic partners, ALTIS Advisory and E4Impact customers, for Sustainability Makers associates:
       o € 720 + VAT for registrations by 19 February 2026
       or €765 + VAT after February 19, 2026
  • € 810 + VAT for registrations completed by February 19, 2026.

Participants who have attended at least 75% of the course and passed the final evaluation will be issued the official Certificate of Participation of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.

 

Those who accrue 75% of the attendance and have successfully carried out the proposed exercises will also be awarded the Open Badge of skills of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
