The monitoring of the market of Corporate Welfare (WA) support service providers continues. The study, launched in 2018, is edited by Luca Pesenti, Associate Professor of General Sociology at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and Giovanni Scansani, an expert in corporate welfare, and published in collaboration with ALTIS Università Cattolica.
Some of the main findings from the research:
- The market remains very dynamic with solid for-profit operators and well-organized realities, especially in terms of technology. Turnover remains high, which involves a negative annual balance in 2025 (-4 subjects) despite the presence of 7 new incoming Providers.
- Two Bilateral Bodies enter the scene, a sign of new forms of participatory governance.
- The disengagement of the Third Sector continues: non-profit entities active as Providers have more than halved since 2018 (from 10 to 4).
- Lombardy and the metropolitan area of Milan remain the main poles of settlement.
- Welfare Integration is consolidated, with services that make public benefits more accessible integrated into the Providers' portals.
