ALTIS' expertise has always been aimed at collaborations with the public administration. The assignment received by our Graduate School from the Municipality of Reggio Calabria for the realization of a high-impact initiative to co-design the future of the metropolitan area goes in this direction.
"Reggio Calabria meets" is a participatory project that aims to generate sustainable development, entrepreneurial innovation and new connections between public, private, university and third sector actors. The heart of the initiative are two days of work. The first is dedicated to co-planning with thematic tables on four themes: the sea, young people, businesses and the territory. The second is designed as a public event and showcase of excellence, new ideas and success stories.
Among the key initiatives planned, the Call4Proposal as part of the Start Cup with the Mediterranean University, aimed at young university students and the Innovation Award with the Chamber of Commerce of Reggio Calabria, for consolidated entrepreneurial realities. The goal in both cases is to enhance local human and productive capital, creating bridges with national and international realities.
The expected impact is concrete: stimulating youth employment, supporting innovation and strengthening the attractiveness of the area thanks to the activation of new investments in the Reggio area, in particular from companies outside the region.
For the city and in perspective for the whole of Calabria , the project therefore represents a strategic opportunity to propose itself as a central node of the Mediterranean, a crossroads between the north and south of the world where we can build the future together.
