To mark the twentieth edition of Professione Sostenibilità, ALTIS brought together alumni from every cohort for the first time. The reunion offered participants an opportunity to reconnect, share their professional experiences and reflect together on how sustainability is evolving within companies.
Over its first twenty editions, the programme trained more than 530 managers, helping to develop a generation of sustainability professionals in Italy. It also created a cross-sector network of professionals and organisations: a community that continues to exchange ideas, build relationships and generate knowledge long after the course has ended.
Ahead of the event, alumni took part in a survey exploring the main challenges and future prospects of the sustainability profession. The findings highlighted the “4 Cs of sustainability”: consistency between actions and communication, concrete and measurable impact, stakeholder engagement, and organisational culture. Together, these four elements are essential to embedding sustainability in business practices and preventing greenwashing.
