In the SMGB Master, you acquire concrete tools to develop sustainable business plans and business models, from the first day in the classroom, thanks to the direct involvement of companies in teaching. An example? In the "Business Planning" course, the students participated in a real "pitch competition", presenting Sally Sawaya Kimotho (entrepreneur of Meru Herbs and alumna of the MBA Global Business and Sustainability - Social Entrepreneurship offered by ALTIS Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and E4Impact Foundation at Tangaza University College of Nairobi) different paths of development of the company, and illustrating the business plans designed to improve the social, environmental and economic impact of the Kenyan company that produces organic tea and jams with tropical and 100% natural fruit.
From the implementation of export growth strategies, to the development of new products and efficiency of production processes, to the inclusion of local communities and suppliers in the company: at the end of the morning, Sally chose the three best projects, giving her point of view on the work done.
"The practical approach of the Business Planning course allowed our students to deal directly with a reality operating in an emerging country such as Kenya: a global approach to the world of fair-trade that challenged the students in the implementation of sustainable growth and development strategies, which were highly appreciated by the Meru Herbs company for its analysis, creativity and strategic coherence. Thanks to all the students who got involved with a particularly challenging undertaking!", comments Giacomo Ciambotti, teacher of the course.
