CONFERENCE 26 February 2024

School pluralism for a new generation of agents of change

Conference for the presentation of Sister Monia Anna Alfieri's book "Educational pluralism, a choice still possible". Monday, February 26, 2024, Aula Maria Immacolata, Largo Gemelli 1, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan Campus.

Antonio Gramsci states: "Culture is the one who is aware of himself and of the whole, who feels the relationship with all other beings". In these words, sustainability passes from the awareness of the role that each person has in terms of the repercussions of their actions. School and training play a decisive role.

School, in fact, is the place of culture where you also learn to become responsible and aware citizens. A place where "agents of change are cultivated" capable of positively affecting the future and well-being of our society. For this reason, we need a transparent school that knows how to equip itself with adequate managerial tools. A school capable of defining a quality school offer that responds to emerging needs. A school capable of intercepting and encouraging dialogue with families and with the various associations and institutions. On the other hand, we need an integrated system, an educational alliance capable of working in synergy, respecting and trusting the role of each actor.

At this event, the book "Educational pluralism, a still possible choice", written by Sister Anna Monia Alfieri , will be presented and will be an opportunity to dialogue with some prominent personalities on the challenges of the school system in Italy and on the steps still to be taken for real educational pluralism.
