Salone del Risparmio 2024 | Governance and sustainability: the role of engagement in the light of the new OECD principles
The conference will be held on 9 April 2024, 12.30-13.15 at the Educational Corner of "Il Salone del Risparmio"
Engagement, i.e. the active dialogue between investors and companies on ESG issues , is now a central SRI strategy in the context of the ecological and sustainable transition. Because it allows investors to participate in a propulsive way in the life of companies, impacting their processes, structures and governance policies, directing them towards more careful and transparent management.
But how can engagement act concretely to positively orient corporate governance? How are the institutions moving and how is the European regulatory framework evolving? In light of the publication of the new OECD standards on corporate governance, ALTIS Università Cattolica explores the relationship between the practice of engagement and corporate governance, bringing out challenges and new opportunities.
With the interventions of Matteo Pedrini, Director of ALTIS, Paola Mungo, Scientific Director of the Executive Course in Sustainable Finance and Scientific Coordinator of the Master in ESG Finance and Investments of ALTIS and lecturer in both courses, Alessandra Viscovi, Scientific Director of the Executive Course in Sustainable Finance and Lecturer of the Master in Finance and ESG Investments of ALTIS, Claudio Kofler, CEO Nummus.Info. The meeting will be moderated by Nicola Varcasia, Journalist of Vita.
The 14th edition of the Salone del Risparmio, a reference event for operators in the asset management sector, will take place from 9 to 11 April 2024 at the Allianz MiCo in Milan and in live streaming on FR|Vision. The theme of the new edition, "In search of new balances: investing in global scenarios", aims to reflect the current context, characterized by unprecedented challenges that require a return to the fundamental principles of the industry. Indeed, in a multi-polar world, investment strategies will increasingly need to combine secular trends and specific wealth objectives.
The conferences that will animate the three days of the Salone will be developed within the boundaries of seven thematic paths, providing a snapshot of the sector and a window on its developments: from innovation to sustainability, from investment strategies to human capital, to social security, taxation and the real economy.
