Salone del Risparmio 2023 | Ecolabel for sustainable finance: new certification for financial products
ALTIS at the Salone del Risparmio 2023 with a conference on the theme Ecolabel, a new certification for financial products, against greenwashing.
Sustainable finance plays an increasingly important role in fostering sustainable economic growth and greater transparency for investments. This is confirmed by the recent changes at the European regulatory level, from the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), to the Taxonomy for sustainable investments up to the European Green Bond Standard.
Now more than ever, investors and consumers want to be sure that their investment and savings choices go in the direction of sustainability. For financial operators, it is crucial to strengthen investors' trust in their ESG products, ensuring their transparency and accountability. The application of the EU Ecolabel to financial products goes in this direction, an independent, reliable label assigned on scientific criteria that can certify green financial products and combat greenwashing.
During the conference, during the 2023 edition of the Salone del Risparmio, ALTIS Università Cattolica explores the topic of Ecolabel certification and its application in the world of sustainable finance, with speeches by Richard Arsan, ALTIS General Manager, Paola Mungo, Scientific Director of the Executive Course in Sustainable Finance and Lecturer of the ALTIS Master in Sustainable Finance and Sara Lovisolo, Head of ESG Development, Amundi. The meeting will be moderated by Nicola Varcasia, Journalist of Vita.
The 13th edition of the Salone del Risparmio, a reference event for operators in the asset management sector, will take place from 16 to 18 May 2023 in presence at the Allianz MiCo in Milan and online on FR|Vision. This year's theme, "Savings beyond the crisis. Accompanying the investor towards informed choices", represents an opportunity for an increasingly conscious reflection on the role that asset management can play alongside families, companies and the economic system in facing the challenges of the new scenario, including geopolitical uncertainties, the energy crisis, financial volatility and the return of inflation.
Even more space will therefore be given to financial education, with projects dedicated to the new generations such as the Educational Corner square, which will host numerous events dedicated to the topic, with the involvement of universities and training institutions.
Visitors will once again be guided in discovering the events of the three-day event by the seven thematic paths: asset allocation and investment strategies, distribution and consulting, private markets and the real economy, sustainability and human capital, supplementary pensions, education and training, innovation and digitization.
