About ALTIS

How to reach Altis

ALTIS is located at Via San Vittore 18, in the center of Milan. It can be easily and preferably reached with public transportation.

With public transportation:

Subway

• Line 2/ Green: From the underground station Sant'Ambrogio (Green Line - Metro 2) take Via San Vittore for 280 m. The main entrance of the Collegio Marianum that hosts the ALTIS offices is directly in front of the intersection of Via San Vittore and Via degli Olivetani. This itinerary is the easiest for those arriving from the train stations of Centrale, Garibaldi and Cadorna.

•  Line 1/ Red - From the Underground station Cadorna (Red Line - Metro 1 and Green Line - Metro 2):
  From Piazza Cadorna, walk along Via Carducci for 650 m. At the second traffic light turn right onto Via San Vittore. Proceed for 280 m.

BUS and Tram

Autobus 94, stop  Carducci-S.Vittore
Autobus 50 . stop S.Vittore-Carducci oppure Olivetani-G.B.Vico
Autobus 58 , stop S.Vittore-Carducci
Tram 16, stop Magenta-S.Maria delle Grazie

Urban tickets cost 1€ and can be used for 75 minutes on busses, trams and undergrounds. Please be warned that if you take the underground you will have to use one ticket each time you reenter an underground station.
You can purchase tickets at the automatic ticket machines in every underground station, in newspaper kiosks and in most bars, cafeterias and tobacco shops.

With the car (parking):

If you prefer reaching ALTIS with your car, please remember that:

• ALTIS offices are within the Milan "Area C" (limited traffic area), which implies the payment of an entrance ticket to the centre of Milan.
• You can park your car at any parking lots interchanging with the main peripherals underground stations, generally located near the highways exits. Then you can use the underground network.
• If you prefer parking in the vicinity of ALTIS, please find below the link for the nearest parking area (paid)
• It is possible to park in the slots located along the roads near the ALTIS office (Via San Vittore). Parking tickets ("gratta e sosta" or "Sostamilano") can purchased in tobacco shops or by asking directly to the parking personnel that can be found near the parking areas.

 

ALTIS head office does not have any private parking. 

From the main ariports:

From Malpensa Airport

By Train:  The Malpensa Express connects Malpensa Airport (Terminal 1) with the centre of Milan (Cadorna Train Station, very close to ALTIS; Cadorna Underground stations Red Line - Metro 1 and Green Line - Metro 2).

Travelling time is 40 minutes.  Trains leave every half hour in both directions from 6.00 am to 11.00 pm.
The Malpensa Express can be easily found following the indications within the Malpensa airport.

Tickets can be purchased  at the Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 (floor -1).
The ticket counter is open on working days from 6.30 to 22.05 and during holidays from 6.35 to 22.30.
Price: 11 €

By Bus: Airbus  stops at the Central Station where you can get the green line of the underground for the Cadorna or S. Ambrogio stations. To get to Altis from the Cadorna or S. Ambrogio stations see above.

The bus utilizes the highway which is always very crowded. Depending on when you get the bus it may take more than one hour to arrive in Milan.

From Linate Airport

By Bus: there are two buses that will bring you into Milan:

• The 73 bus is an ordinary city bus whose last stop is at San Babila Square behind the Duomo (Cathedral). There the Red Underground (line 1) stop San Babila is available. From San Babila, take the underground (Red Line - Line 1) to Cadorna.
  Price : 1,50€.; Bus tickets can be purchased at the Linate Airport newspaper shop.
• Airbus stops at the Central Station where you can get the green (Line 2) or yellow line (Line 3) of the underground to the Cadorna or S. Ambrogio station.
  Price : 5 €
