Thank you for 20 years!

We have made the difficult decision to sunset the Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC). The world has changed since GSVC launched two decades ago, with social impact efforts in business and on campuses going from niche to mainstream. We firmly believe we’ve played a role in shaping this change, and are very proud to have helped more than 6,500 teams from 65+ countries across the globe and distributed more than $1M in prize money.

- GSVC Global Team -

In ALTIS, we will continue our work with our programmes and initiatives about sustainable development and impact entrepreneurship.

Keep in touch with us to get updates!

Every year, since 1999, the Global Social Venture Competion, launched by UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, awarded young impact entrepreneurs whose business ideas combine high return on investment and a social or environmental impact.

At the Global Finals, an international jury made of business angels, social venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and academicians evaluated pitches and business models on the basis of:

  • business potential (economically feasible, financeable and scalable)
  • social impact potential (positive impact generated)
  • success potential (competencies and skills of the team members)
